Room size guide
Which size fits my room?
A table needs space around it for a full cue stroke from every side. Use the minimum room sizes below as a guide.
| Table size | Playing area | Min. room, 57" cues | Min. room, 52" cues |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7ft | 1.98 m x 0.99 m | 4.9 m x 3.9 m | 4.6 m x 3.6 m |
| 8ft | 2.24 m x 1.12 m | 5.1 m x 4.0 m | 4.9 m x 3.8 m |
| 9ft | 2.54 m x 1.27 m | 5.4 m x 4.2 m | 5.2 m x 3.9 m |
Room sizes are approximate (length × width) and allow for a full backswing.
Measure wall to wall
Measure the length and width of the room, then subtract anything that juts into the playing space: bars, heaters, couches.
Tight on space?
Shorter 52" cues, a smaller table or a dining pool table that doubles as furniture can make a smaller room work.
Check the access
Think about stairs, lifts, doorways and hallways between the street and the room. Add them to your delivery notes.
